I'll spend that if you know of a source. does it tell you want you need to know or just point you in the right direction like the snap on scanners??? What do you need to know? It tells you nearly all sensor outputs as voltages or time bases, allows you to operate 90% of the engine control solenoids from the keypad, it allows most codes to be read, blah blah. You'll still find loads of faults that it doesn't directly point you to, though. You can do most of this with a cheap `scope and a voltmeter, et cetera, just not as fast. Anyway reason I asked was that the beast started doing stupid things. Spoiler would deploy for no reason, engine overheat light would come on, slip control would disengage, she would stall at low speed. Really nothing that would point you in any direction to fault find. At the weekend I disconnected the battery overnight to reset the ECU, cleaned up the chassis earth and she ran ok on sunday. That looks quite interesting. Forgive my ignorance - but what is ODB? They don't mention what cars this can plug into, are there some standards relating to ODB that means you can plug and play certain devices into?
