Supra-Iceman
Maybe a stupied question, but how many bov is there ? 1 or 2 ? 2 turbos so there should be 2 bov ? I have a J-spec supra TT, means i can simply replace my recirculating bov with a atmospheric ? how big is the difference when it dumps the air? how much louder? Also which atmospheric Bov do you recommend? Many thanks!
JustGav
There is only one BOV on a supra and it is a recirculating one, but the Jspec TT (Non VVTi) is MAP based and not MAF, so you can get away with using one. Atmospheric ones are obviously louder, however sound is a very personal thing it appears. The HKS SSQV is a rather effective unit I found. Pixelfill
There is only one Bov, yours is the bit in the middle of the 3 blue silicon hoses. I can't comment on the standard Bov sound, but I have had the SARD R2D2 and the HKS SSQV. I prefer the SSQV over the SARD I had previously (which broke) I think generally those people who think Aftermarket BOVs are a good idea tend to agree that the SSQV is the one to go for. Okej, so i can just simple replace it with a atmospheric HKS and smile ? Will there be any diffrence in the performance? i know there should not be any, but i was thinking if maybe the HKS can "hold" the pressure better then the stock 1 ? Thanks alot for you help i guess i need to pay for all help i got soon I can't comment on the standard Bov sound, but I have had the SARD R2D2 and the HKS SSQV.
