my trusty escort seranade 1.6liter 16 valve ecotec has seen its last journey.had it 2 years got it at 62k miles now its got 97k miles.bought it for £450 on a p reg.

had to spend £300 quid on 1st mot.been bashed about and got dints and cracked bumpers but did its job.started to use a lot of water in last month.using 5 pints of water every 20 miles or so.

did me ok before the water was leaking went down to migs to pick up my th400 box 600 mile round trip.never failed to start.

quite supprised how good it lasted, was always there when i needed it.tax and mot ran out so decided to get something a bit cleaner.

bought my first nissan. its a nissan primera 2liter twin cam 16 valve.its older than escort but its a lot better.engine looks clean as anything.guy was selling it for £575 with 12 months test and 6 months tax.i would have had to wait for him to tax it so i said i will tax it and got the car for £450.needs a new front tyre but its only £25.drove it home and it drives faultless, gears are smooth,in 2nd gear at low speeds there none of this juddering like i had on vauxhall and escort.

really pleased with it for a work car.it even has a tow bar with electrics too.seems to have plenty of poke.picks up real well.just like riding a crest of a wave of torque.got 4x electric windows.electric mirrors.sunroof.radio cassette player, and best of all it has a din size cassette holder for 6 cassettes.

done some research on internet.this is a cassette

just got insured fully comp for £309 cheaper than escort.also found out i have 9 years no claims too.

still got some ideas going round in my head.

got the £4.99p front and rear rubber matts i bought from lidl to transfer from escort to nissan power.also the cig lighter is missing in the nissan so may transfer the one from the escort into the nissan so i have a bit of ford in the nissan to remind me of where i have come from

will post all mods in future

the escort beast will make someone happy for £50 cash no VAT to pay

its a runner, starts first time.got a horse shoe size crack in window above tax disc.using water.but i will throw in a few containers of water to get you home.it dont use any oil.no water in oil no oil in water.no gunge under cap and had a full service by monkey motorsports at 87k oil and filter and air filter and plugs and even topped up water levels.big boot mark in front wing.rear bumper held together with duct tape.

bought the duct tape from car boot sale for £1 a roll.hardly sticks to car lol had to glue corners down.not sure about bling or fur conversion yet.just want to enjoy driving a quality jap beast again.

how dare you class the nissan as a banger.you will only be getting a piss like quality tea and a rich tea

will save the best stuff for the regular yorkshire lads.

will have some green tea and earl gray for the posh nancy people down south

just been out to wash escort and nissan.should get an extra £10 on my asking price on escort.also i forgot i have a slight leak on petrol tank on escort so got my repair kit out.cleaned all excess petrol off bottom of tank with some stardrops dissenfectant.came up a treat.

dried it clean with some rags, there looks like there is 4 plastic cap things to drain tank.was slightly seeping out of one of them so used some mastic around it.did a great job.then put a tin under it to see if it has cured the leak.then decided to mastic the duck tape what ever its called lol back down to tidy it up.

cleaned a bit of inside car out and took my lidl £4.99 matts out washed and hung on washing line to dry.will put in nissan beast in morning.going to transfer th400 in nissan and new propshaft.should fly with 2 gearboxes a 5 speed manual for trackdays and a 3 speed auto for drag racing it.hoping to get a low 13 out of it out of stock motor.then the tuning can begin.

need to strip a bit of weight out of it so may have to take all foam padding out of seats as its excess weight i dont need.i will take out my big GRUB BOX.
