I've heard that as well Nic, and it looks pricey. There used to be a member on here in the Netherlands who was able to replace the bushings and I'm researching some in the States that have been done that way as well. I'm not too keen on replacing the arms entirely. Way too expensive.

 

The advantage of fitting new OEM components, is that you also replace the ball joints, these are an integral part of the arms and cannot be replaced separately.

mine has started to do this. only had it a 2 days :rolleyes: . but this making me sweat. mine is going side to side in a stright line. not the point were the tyres lose grip but enough to make me go wow. as soon as some one sorts the problem please let me know. i have 1995 n/a manual. please give me some good news. i love this car and money is on the less side. aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

personally i think its too hard suspension on shit uk roads, i had the same problem with the jap suspension on my car, i used to rock left n right in the seat was bloody aweful to drive but put it on a new road it was fine.

fitted rear bilsteins and top mounts hey presto issue sorted well it was for me.

 

and the suspension removed was just fine no leaks nothing

That sounds dangerous, I would get it on a ramp and get it looked at.

This is what mine does - rocks me from side to side. My suspension doesn't feel particularly hard though - it actually feels pretty soft.

I have two of the 48710s (right side PN I believe) to go in today. No 48720 (left) as the Toyota part guy told me they're exactly the same part. Hopefully, this makes a difference and isn't too difficult to install. I have a feeling the removal process will be the difficult part. Will post an update later.
