Trig
I don't get it. Think of it like football, but with end zones as goals, and you can carry the ball

terribleturner
I thought it was next week. Charlotte, you have 4 chances to make 10 yards i think it is. If you fail the other side gets a go. That's it. Once you understand the basics it's easy and fun to watch. Still not a patch on rugby though

juanchan
Watch the game, then you will see what's it all about ! I did that last year. How can anyone make a one hour game last for over 4 hours!?!?! It was pointless and incredibly dull. As soon as anyone did anything exciting, the ref or managers stopped play. Probably to prevent the crowd from getting too excited! I really didn't see the point tbh. Give me a game of footie or rugby anyday
Chewie
Superbowl? Another useless export from the makers of George Dubya Bush. Superbowl along with Dah World Series, WMD, trick or treat, the grey squirrel, Big Macs, EuroDisney, color, thru, center, have a nice day and homeboys, you can shove it all up their great huge fat arseholes! Not ASSholes. That's where donkeys live. [GRIN][/GRIN]

Give me a game of footie or rugby anyday its only the superbowl thats really bad for dragging things out (advertising!)...........even i find it tiresome........ As for the game being 'gey' because of the pads well its just plain BS, it just makes things more fast and hard and you can put your head where only the foolish would in rugby (lets not forget its been a gradual take up on the gear, they used to wear soft padded headgear - much the same as the 'front row' rugby guys do now) Also regarding finess, well some of these guys are as fit as the rugby chaps, but some are more sumo wrestler types, its just like rugby but bigger extremes when you look at the bigger guys that play both sports. Like most sports its horses for courses but if you only ever watched the superbowl i can see how you could get put off..... BTW i'm biased as i used to play the game, enjoyed it immensely and still miss it...............
Chewie
Take it you dont like americans?? They bought our Great British company, 400 British workers just before Gulf War 2. And ever since we've had 'strategic downsizing', 'head count adjustments', 'exit opportunites' and then two weeks ago they decided to close us down. There's only 60 of us Brits left in factory site where at it's peak we had 1,200. [sAD][/sAD] Is that good enough reason? Bring the boys back home.
