That crash bar is only for low impact crashes around 30mph or below, above that and even that bit of square metal aint gonna do sod all to minimise an impact....... Not sure there's going to be too many straight shells around, you might find it cheaper to buy a really creap NA auto and stipping it. You should be able to make some monay back on the spare parts, but you'd need some garage space. If you don't me asking, what caused the smash?
