tbourner
Apparently the police planes (or choppers I suppose) play scrabble with the letters on the cars - try and make up words by sending cars to adjacent roads!
Guest mk47
Apparently the police planes (or choppers I suppose) play scrabble with the letters on the cars - try and make up words by sending cars to adjacent roads! i have an hour long documentary about the corrupt police in leicester. they play hide and seek at night and communicate through their radios, and park on double yellows when picking up take aways because 'were the police' etc.
johnnyknox
yes mate you got it. braunstone gate. its the traffic lights by the cross roads there. One of my mates is a copper and for his B day we all went go-karting. He invited some of his collegues from work, 2 of which were rapid response car drivers who had loadsa training obviously. Was quite supprised when we wooped em at karting;)

Kranz
communicate through their radios. Crikey... That is really naughty!! On the subject of hide & seek, as I understand it this is played on night shift when there is *NOTHING* else to do. No emergency calls, nothing. Now call me cynical if you like, but surely this is better than sitting in the nick all night drinking coffee, watching TV or sleeping (like some other emergency services do!!). Would you rather the police patrol every single road in your neighbourhood, and one unit take a static point out of the way hidden down some dark lane observing what is going on; or no police presence at all?? Not that I'd do it but the way I see it is that 'hide and seek' is a way of being proactive and patroling the dark & deserted streets in areas that would not normally be patrolled. Every single nook and cranny is probed and lots of things of interest are seen........ Its this kind of patroling that catches people in the act, gathers intelligence & increases officers' knowledge of the local area & local people. I prefer to call it targetted patroling. And its a lot safer than police car bowls
Dazzi
and the police complain about normal motorists not driving responsibly on the road...
