Same kind of thing in the police too, black police associations, gay police associations, women... no specific "White Hetrosexual Male Association" though. I Personally think there should not be any groups such as this that segregate others. And you can't have one rule for one and another rule for others. ChrisSZ Posted November 10, 2006 Share Posted November 10, 2006 I love all this crap LOL. A lecturer at college kept trying to recruit me into some bloody Black and Asian College Lecturers thing. I asked her why, she said to combat racism by senior management towards staff. My reply was that there has been none in college so far so why draw attention to it? If it did occur I would be one of the first to offer my support and take action if necessary. IMHO, a lot of these groups serve little purpose other than to highlight a difference! I had to put an (Asian) student on disciplinary a couple of weeks ago because he made racist remarks towards another (Caucasian) student. He was under the impression that I'd support him and couldn't understand that racism is colour blind - ANYONE can be racist! Skin colour is a genetic thing, so short out of some genetic issue (ie albinoism), I can't quite figure how you get that... unless there is something in the genetics even way back that has suddenly surfaced..
