Agreed mate but....

I think it's just the way it's being asked. The comment about "fast as fook" and topless girls makes me a bit blasé about answering such questions.

It builds a mental picture that I'm not too keen on, sorry.

Sorry to have been trying to make it a bit light hearted. I will be cold, unemotional and serious from now on :)

Basic Performance Upgrades

The catalytic converts are very restrictive on the TT Supra and are used to limit the boost. Removing the cats helps the turbos spool up a lot quicker and will allow the turbos produce more boost. Infact they allow the turbos to overboost so you'll need to limit the boost by fitting ring in the exhaust to restrict the exhaust gasses.

Do a search for BPU, with a few easy and relatively cheap mods, you should be able to get between 370-400(crank)hp.

Welcome to the club, anything you cannot find an answer to ask away.

cheers

Thanks for the respectful answer, very helpful.

Right ok, now the next big question.

Where near Gloucester can I go and say please do BPU's. If any garages are on here, feel free to quote, plenty of cash available.

:) Respectful comment coming up.

Whats the hurry. Coming from an Audi TT, the Supra will feel extremely lively.....rear wheel drive and winter coming, get a few miles in before upping the power 25%

The TT was last year, I've had 3 cars since then. I've got a Boxster S at the mo. Its faster than the TT, but still feels slow to me, I need something with some power. I test drove the Supra, and while it feels fast, there is not much in it between the porsche and supra. I want it faster, its what I want, its what im willing to pay for, so thats why :) lol

If you have plenty of cash then it's worth going BPU in the right way.

Mine is being BPU'd as we speak and I have just had a phone call stating that my clutch is now slipping.

Might be worth adding that to your wish-list

*RPS MAX SERIES clutch*

Unfortunately I do not have the cash, so this was kick in balls for me.

1. Seat Re-trims

2. Privacy Glass

3. Glass Headlights

4. Topless bird laying on bonnnet ? :)

2 would seem to cancel out any headturning effect of 1.

And the bonnet's aluminium, so I wouldn't let anyone heavier than Kylie lie on it.

1. on the performance front should be decent tyres

:looney:

You can go BPU alot cheaper than what you think as well!!

I've done it for £325!!! Just shop about mate.

That includes -

*Cat back exhaust 3" (HKS Super Dragger) cost £250 including double decat

*FCD £15

*Plugs (NGK) £15

*Restrictor ring £20

*Fuel Pump (TRE) £25

Still need a boost gauge tho.

Heh id do what I did just get used to crazy twin turbo rwd experience then start to go BPU. (Tip: No 2nd turbo in damp conditions)

Yea i think you still need a ring if you got fcd. Surely the fcd is stops the stopping of over boosting?

I don't know mate. Just wondered.

If the FCD is fooling the ECU so it thinks the boost is under 1bar then does that stop the ECU from thinking there is overboosting?

How is overboosting monitored? What tells the turbos to stop spinning so fast? I'm really not sure :search:
