Apparently after reading about the top secret supra with the RB26 lump, the swap was made as the supra engine produced too much low end torque for what they wanted, prehaps that could be because the supra has a slightley larger engine? or is it down to something else?

Is the Nissan engine more easily tuneable? I hear of more big power Skylines than Supras, tbh.

Can't you unlock power by simply bunging in a new chip in the Skyline? (something you can't really do with the Supra)

(all of the above is based on my limited technical knowledge)

That's about the long and the short of it.

3L long stroke = too much torque for a track car...real race cars don't have as much torque as BHP....unlike a Supra which does tend to produce nearly as much torque as BHP.

So my idea of fitting a supercharger for low end torque instead of more bhp isn't that good an idea?

Nope - I think its a great idea - I wish you all the best and hope you do it.

You're not building a race car...you want driveability. An engine that's fast on the road is not necessarily fast on the track.

DB, with a s/c an NA would have bags more torque than the TT (at the lower revs), as we have said before, thats the reason why it would stomp a TT up to 80, just dont try it in the wet :D......

Unfortunately it looks like I may go down the predictable route and just transplant a TT engine ash! But when jagmans supercharger is developed I may ask him if he can sort me some drawings for mine!!! lol

I guessed that.......the TT route.....
