Rob
I'm going to a meeting this afternoon and I've got to take one of our Project Managers in my car. Luckily it's the Audi not the Supra. Two weeks ago she fell off her horse whilst show-jumping indoors ( indoors? ) landed on some concrete steps and fractured two vertibrae. I can't believe she's back at work with a broken spine, but I'm bricking it now in case I hit a pothole and paralyse her. Bloody hell, I was off for three weeks just for having a ganglion cut out of my wrist. Think I'll get her to sign a disclaimer form.

Whitesupraboy2
it grows off your bone and best way i can describe it is like gristle on bone. mine grew on the end of my tibula and started to wear away the joint in my wrist so had an operation to remove mine. Ian W
Hope your one looked better than this act of butchery. i think i may have one of those, or something similar. have had it a few years and it is just below the wrist where your thumb starts. started getting quite large so i basically put more and more pressure on it until it burst/squelched lol bloody hurt and luckily hasn't got much worse since. Rob
She can barely walk and can't lift her arms to open doors. What the hell is she doing at work? Horses, evil hooves! Another lady in our firm had her femur shattered whilst horse riding, when the horse next to her kicked her. My mum does voluntary work in a stables for disabled riders, and a woman there had her shoulder dislocated when a horse legged it (bolted, i believe is the technical term) and she tried to stop it by bracing herself and holding onto the lead thing. That's commitment for you!!!! They are dangerous animals. 90% of the time you'll be ok, but when it does go wrong it tends to be nasty. I remember the one time (he never dared again....) my horse kicked me, he got me about 3" above my knee so incredibly lucky really, but it was so bruised and swollen I couldn't even get my jeans over it for days!!!! Is that some weird offspring of your Tibia and Fibula?? Both of which are bones of your leg, so it does beg the question, what exactly were you doing for them to wear away the joint in your wrist?? Bloody hell mate!! That was one very long ganglion then LOL:d (your tibia is in your shin, your radius and unlna are in your forearm/wrist he he) :)
garetheves
On another note, a tried and trusted way of getting rid of a ganglion is to whack it as hard as you can with a hardback book. Ive had tons of patients swear by this technique although it is bloody painful, and you need to make sure you put loads of pressure on it for a week or so afterwards to stop it coming back. garetheves
How on earth can you pop them if they are grizzle growths? I think they are more like a fluid sort of sac than gristle.

Alex
They should ban hourse riding as it's dangerous. That's what we do in this country isn't it...ban it if someone hurts themselves?
Ian W
How on earth can you pop them if they are grizzle growths? they don't pop as such. you have to put A LOT of pressure onto it and then if feels more like it breaks up and disperses. very strange feeling, quite a relief though
