grahamc
What overfenders will fit my car? Saw the dazzspeed ones from PaulE and liked them alot... But apartently they wont fit with the OEM stuff. Dont particularly want to change spats and sideskirts.... I have the OEM sideskirts and spats and want some nice overfenders and wheels. Wheels wise I was looking at the Rota GTRs or some Volk thick 6 spokes (dont know the name) in a dark anthracite colour. What else will I need? IE. Wheel spacers? What the down side? Does it affect handling? Ideas? Pics? G
Alex
There arn't any overfenders on the market for stock sideskirts and spats. My guess is you'd have to buy the ones you like and then pay for them to be modded to fit.
grahamc
dammit! The problem is that I like the OEM skirts and spats, and have no urge to change them yet. Would GVN be best for that sort of work?

Dazspeed moulds Paul E has them...they were on Dale boneyards old car..do a search mate, they a bit bigger than the veilsides.

grahamc
The dazspeed ones are the ones that I like... I might try and get GVN to "make them fit"... And the Dazspeed ones do look quite a bit bigger...
mikeyb10supra
I would be very intersted to see the outcome of this as I am in a similar situation
grahamc
Going to be awhile, but I will let you know... Got to have a chat to GVN and maybe someone closer to me, and not so close to London. But it is something that needs to be done!
mikeyb10supra
maybe some custom jobbies would look the nuts
grahamc
Hmmm, not a bad idea... I was thinking of the DazSpeed ones made to fit the OEM skirts and spats! Who would do custom ones?
mikeyb10supra
speak to supragold on here, he did a lot of customising to his kit!! he is using veilside arch trims but I think there was a lot of smoothing, grinding and moulding etc im not hot on bodyshop issues sure someone will know someone
Bobbeh
I dont think you'd want to put overfenders on a stock bodied car and leave oem skirts in place, it'd look retarded. You'd need some wider skirts to help the lines flow.

grahamc
What about a photoshop of this, from some of the photoshop PROs? Get some sort of idea?
mr keef
You will find that the rear fenders go nowhere near the standard skirts at all...i was going to do this but when i held them up they are a mile out, even at the spat...you could cut and add bits and fill etc etc etc etc...but i can honestly say you gona end up with one shit looking car...the fenders will be far to wild for the standard skirts and spats, they cry out for veilside sorry but thats just the way it is,any decent body shop will tell you the same.
