Guest dee_rz
With the power i believe you'll have i.e around 800-900 rwhp you should and will in my opinion have the power to get anything late 9's to late 10's. It'll all be down to how you drive it on the day and due to the fact you haven't driven in a while i think what i said will be around what you get, hope you hit lower spec sounds awesome from what i hear

Gaz Walker
OK my guess on Optimax, at Abbey is 809 RHHP with a 76 tubby. Quarter, I think you'll get a 11.0 @ 139/140 if you get a good run. *Dancing with the devil here* Gaz.

pump gas pete
Monkeymark Missed PM was "will you be adjudicator please."...IE will you authenticate dyno and run slips. Competition for money and I am paranoid about honesty. For those up in the 890-900 mark. We will be running OPTIMAX guys. Nothing too fundamental has been done to it since the last time it went on a dyno. Bobbeh .....yes I will be driving.....you gotta problem wiv it?? ave you? Monkeymark we got 12.26 on street tyres years ago. Gaz....it does not have the 666 for nothing!!! I have written all the answers in my little red book. Remember ... PUMP GAS>>>>>>Optimax 345 Drag Radials Manual Peter We will be at whatever event is on the 8th Oct. I really could not give a monkeys what it is called. On the day I won't know what day it is..... Matt Harwood
Assuming your new mods give you a reasonable upgrade, I'll guess at about 797 RHHP. If it's a genuine 800ish horsepower, I'll guess your terminal speed should be about 142mph. Using those drag radials, assuming you can get some heat into them first, I'd guess that you'll be in the low 11's... I'll go for 11.
MONKEYmark
hi pete created a temp thread in drag section.if anyone wantes to change there guess.let me know.will edit it 1 time.there is a couple of terminals that are same. eg 141 and 143 so if you wanted a 141.5 you would have more chance of getting closer to final numbers. gaz have put u at 139.5 as you picked 139/140 let me know if you want to change it,or anyone else Michael??? Drag competition thread Temp competition thread Optimax fuel 345 Drag Radials Manual 6 speed Peter drivng event is JAE on the 8th Oct Competition No1 £50 to the person who guesses the right BHP of "Supranatural " on the Hub Dyno that we have not sorted out yet . The only alterations on the engine since the last Dyno run will be... 1200cc injectors....billet crank (same stroke)...er ...new rods.....pistons....I think they are HKS but don't quote me and some more heat and air management stuff. Oh and EVERYTHING is balanced. The competition is valid for figures on the day PROVIDING we do not have a "problem" that stops us running beyond 700rhhp. (In that event competition rolls over to the next session when the problem is cured.) Competition No2 Our target is to have the quickest Pump Gas Supra 6 speed in the UK. £50 for the closest guess to elapsed time the car does on the day. £50 for the closest to the terminal speed the car does on the day. I have been posting clues for a couple of weeks for this competition but as Gaz brought the subject of JAE up well....sod it lets go for it!!! Since the OK from Darren to get the car ready for then I have shuffled space around at work for the table tennis table.....speeds reactions and may lose me a few pounds.....every hundredth helpeth! I will post other bits and pieces which may be of use to you ast o what WE think it will run and what power it will make. pump gas pete
I'll sort you out beer. Beer gives me serious flatulence . Can the gas be harnessed with a hose up my backside for anti lag injection???? Bobbeh....... I think you have a very good chance of taking a win....and a win IS a win.......but.....I could rent Santa Pod or Shakespeare the week before. and practice......and it has crossed my mind....but I don't think I will be able to get away from work but...... I REALLY don't like to lose......I mean its up there with my irrational hatred of the police....... I have lost at table tennis to Darren......after I had a winning streak of some 500 games....I could not speak to him for two days.......someone asked if we could get heat into the tyres....we have linelocks......and the cage to keep the backend straight . Gaz said we had a nine in the car. We think so as well but I don't think we have the skill in driving..,..skill in preparation...nor the knowledge to get it out of the car. Never mind Eh! Kevin Huntley
Having just about got the hang of driving a 6 speed down the strip myself. I would say on a shake down run you will be lucky to get 11.6 @ 141mph. Due to the demand on the day you will probaly only get 4 or 5 chances at it, so you will have to make your runs count. On the Dyno I would say 827 RHHP on Optimax @1.8 bar. Kevin
