Been wearing them for 37 YES THIRTY SEVEN years had my problems now and then but you get used to them quickly.

Having said that I am trying some new type now that made of a silica mesh and they are playing up.

One is clouding up a little so I drive one eyed lol:D

I've had mine for about 6 weeks now they are Brilliant! It took me so long to get them in and out at first but once you get the right technique it becomes really quick. Mine are so good I nearly always forget to take them out at night although saying that they were a bit blurry today.

You quickly find the best technique to get them in easily for you.

I find on the end of my index finger is best. The contact lense will sit on your finger and when you offer the contact to your eye, it will effectively suck onto your eye without you actually touching your eye with your finger.

It's all practice, sounds horrible but it doesn't bother me in the slightest now.

i wear contacts too, it does take a little while to get used to them but as the others have said it becomes second nature. I still find putting them in infront of a mirror helps, not sure why.

One thing you have to learn not to do is rub your eyes at any time. It can make the lens go up under the eyelid which is never a nice thing to have happen. Also have some Optrex in the cupboard for when your eyes get a little tired, soothes the discomfort.

Oh, and if you are in an airconditioned office I have been told to get a pot plant near you as they hold moisture in the area where the aircon normally makes the air very dry.

I only use them for sports and sometimes going out. Daily disposables. I've got stacks of them built up now!

It gets much easier very quickly. My eyelids are quite tight to my eyes (apparently) which makes it a bugger as they try to pop off when I blink the first few times after fitting them.

:iagree: it's what i teach people. Don't let your finger stay too wet otherwise it will just be sucked onto it, obviously if it's too dry then it will just fall on the floor and you'll spend an hour looking for it :D

Try putting it onto the white of your eye and SLOWLY looking straight and then down and close your eye slowly. With some people though, straight onto the cornea is the best, experiment but give yourself a break otherwise you'll have probs.

Great advice there!

I only wish my optician had told me that technique when I started wearing them... the first few weeks were really difficult until I got figured it out!

Iv been wearing them every day 4 about the last 8 years, up until about 2 years ago I had the monthly ones, I had some problems with these at the beginning they stung like hell when you first put them in after cleaning!! iv been on the daily ones 4 about 2 years there so much more comftable and don't dry out you can hardly feel them in your eyes at all. There more expensive but defiantly worth it IMO.:D

As the others have said took me ages to take them in and out when i first started waring them but i can now do it in a matter of seconds, becomes second nature. even when drunk!

A word of warning whatever you do don't sleep in them!

This is what I do. I have only just started wearing them too, yesterday in fact. Had a few probs this morning getting them in, left was a pain, but right was alot easier, but did have to remove the right lens as it did'nt feel right, so gave it a clean and put back in. Kopite has gave good tips, I found that facing slightly away from mirror ( but but still looking in mirror) and placing the lens on the white of the eye works best for me
