dangerous brain
I have a 27" LG one and its the dogs. I paid about £700 for it nearly a year ago so prices will have dropped by now. It can be used as a computer monitor also as it has a DVI input. From what I can gather most of the named screens out there are actually made by LG anyways its just the driving software thats different from make to make. The reason I really liked the LG one I got is that the speakers detach from the TV (most people me included use 5.1 surround sound nowadays and don't need speakes on the TV itself). It has fully adjustable PIP so you can watch 2 inputs at once, and other stuff I never got round to figuring out
imi
I vote for Samsung......bought my 32" screens for £830 each a year ago

spikesjz
i got a 32" LG and it is ace just shop around and you'll get a good deal. Depends on room size but if you go to currys they can give you a chart that you can open out at home so it gives you a really good idea of what size tv will look best in the size of the room. if you have a small room then have a massive tv it's too much in your face!! tbourner
Don't get the Samsung, I've been searching for a 32" for ages and EVERYONE I speak to that I trust in these matters says not to get a Samsung (including most of avforums!!). Go for a Toshiba WLT66 at that price (not sure what sizes they do).
grahamc
Personally, I prefer LG, I have a 21" LCD, which will soon be replaced with the 32" of the small style and the 21" will move to the bedroom. Just figured building my car was more important than a BIG TV EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have had it for about a year now, and never had an issue. tbourner
Lots of failure reports (so if you get it from John Lewis you get 5 years warranty and don't need to worry ).

tbourner
I don't know TBH, mate who knows someone at Samsung said that, and a couple of people I know who work in AV sales said they're the highest returns. AVforums seem to push people away from Samsungs without stepping on their rather strict forum rules for slaggin off particular manufacturers!
