Ruff_Rider
Sounds good. I like the idea that you paint bodykit parts before you ship them, if required. Do your kits fit perfectly? I only ask as a lot of kits need modification to fit and this would cause problems if they're already painted. I'm looking for a new nose soon, so will definately give you a call. Homer
Unfortunately have seen some recently that aren't and for a saving of £100 you will prob pay more in fitting / painting You pays ya money... You've not used "You pay cheap, you pay twice" recently Underworld, with bodykits its essential you know the fit and general finish of the kit is up to your expectations. Not mentioning any names, but I've seen some horrific stuff from traders in the past. I've been stung badly before and it cost me over £800 in kit and paint that had to be redone. I'm very pleased with my do-luck copy from Miami-GT though, perfect fit and virtually no finishing needed (and that was mostly due to the FMIC lower bracket). It can take some abuse too, it grounds out at least once a day (thats probably 500 times now at least) and I've pushed it into curbs at least a dozen times. Still only one tiny crack in the paintwork - fibreglass is still perfect. It wasn't cheap, but was WELL worth paying the extra £150 for.
Underworld
Hehe, yea mine is pretty thin. It looks like its about what 5m thin? + Cheers for the prices guys. Think ill be getting it repaird rather then replaced :S
Matt H
My Do-luck replica from Paul E (miami-GT) is being fitted tommorrow. I'll post up and let you know what the body shop have to say about the fit extra when its complete. prob take a day or two. its been sprayed already you see. They only thing they have commented on so far is the quality of the fixings which they say are not ideal, but im not sure if the fixings are any different from the original do-luck bumper? Dragonball
You've not used "You pay cheap, you pay twice" recently . No - I thought it a bit dangerous as I am selling cheap SMIC's now - and I could see that one being waved in my face (BTW - these will be more expensive unless people start buying them - so no danger there ) Thanks for the +'ve comments BTW - my comments were not directed at Albert's kits Also - the fixings on mine are actually BETTER than the originals - but they MUST use metal 'gaskets' to affix to the bodywork to protect the FRP - this is pretty basic stuff and would expect they know this...(?) But then again I have seen some work where no fixings have been used (DOH!) and everyone looks suprised when it falls off / breaks! (they even blamed the kit!) Accept nothing but the best from your bodyshop - it's not rocket science and if they give a $hit it should be 'perfect'
