Too hot, can't sleep.

Due to the natural randomness of the British summer the investment in home air conditioning is a bad idea....and yet the infrequent uncomfortably sticky nights lying bare bollock naked on the bed you scream out for some nice cold Mr Chilly cool air to circulate around you.

It's too hot to sleep damn it!

Hopefully the storms will come soon and cool it all down a bit ;) Apparantly they'll be reaching my neck of the woods tomorrow. Quite a relief really, if you think it's hard sleeping now, imagine what it's like doing it during the day when it's 10+ degrees hotter, the sun's out and you can't open your windows because the noise of the kids on holiday will keep you awake :(

Ahhh I love it really :D

Just when you think it can't get any hotter my cat decides he wants to sleep on my bed with his collection of dead animals.

The last two days I have had in my bedroom

(I promise, this is no exaggeration):-

2x birds

1x woodpeaker

1x small frog

2x bats - same night

3x mice

2x unrecognizable - could be parts from the above

i need to get those air con units that are heaters in the winter aswell, too hot here :(

I got one of these at the weekend 14,000 BTU air con   I only noticed it had a heater in it too when I got it home.

B&Q - Their range starts out at £131 for a 7000 BTU unit. £199 for a 9000 BTU - £249 for 12000 and £299 for the 14000 unit - Then you start getting into split units which, are not mobile.
