Pixelfill Posted June 13, 2006 Share Posted June 13, 2006 It might be an idea to compare paint codes, as far as I can recall there are a number of shades of silver, depending on which model year. Otherwise you might end up needing a respray anyway. I'm sure someone with half a brain will be along shortly to tell me I'm talking tripe. SteveR Posted June 13, 2006 Share Posted June 13, 2006 I may also be talking tripe, but I was only aware of 1 silver paint code (gunmetal not being counted as 'silver' of course). I think each car's paint code is on the metal plate thingy with the chassis code? I'm sure I saw Nic post something about that on his thread about touch-up pens. Check the VIN plate in you engine bay, it is mounted on top of the inside of the drivers side wing. I'll have to check mine and see what it says.
