CJ
Yes, I was initially allowed but then subsequently banned due to me being friendly with someone the adminitrator didn't like. Well, that is what I was told by another member as the administrator has never bothered to actually inform me. In fact, when I first asked about it he told me it was a computer error. I have just realised that it is the second time that has happened to me. Martin F banned me for that too (amongst other things) when I had the temerity to say how good the BL kits were and that Terry was good to deal with. Ah well, I dont suppose it is the last time I will get banned eh?
Dragonball
I know Mig. I was just commenting on your observation regarding banned members and inner circles. Seems quite common amongst some forums eh? Thorin
Can we not stir up trouble please, and at least do it in members only if you must. I rarely visit the other forum but I think people on here are being a tad childish.

UltraFlynn
Can we not stir up trouble please, and at least do it in members only if you must. I rarely visit the other forum but I think people on here are being a tad childish. I 2nd that. I have to say that I'm fairly disgusted with some of the comments in this thread. Could we leave it out please. I'm a member of both clubs. Both have the right to function. Neither deserves ridicule. The moderators on both forums have the right to run it however they see fit. It makes me sad to read some of these comments. I, for one, am looking forward to JAE. I shall be parking on the MSOC stand (as I did last year) and I shall be making a point of spending some time over on the .net stand because I know some great guys there. Please don't promote bad feeling, clubs are made up of members and those members want to enjoy participating in online forums and attending shows without tension and bad feeling. I don't want to dread going to JAE because there might be hassle between the two clubs.

I don't want to dread going to JAE because there might be hassle between the two clubs. The problem is that most of the bad feeling is promoted from that side of the fence. I tell you what, I am willing to wager that had you posted that message on the other board there was a good chance you would be banned. I, like many others, have no problem with other forums or joint ventures and meetings but Martin will not tolerate any mention of this site or mention of certain members of this site. Now, that cannot be our fault surely?
UltraFlynn
I'm not disputing that there are unresolved issues and I can't discuss specifics because I don't know the full picture. I'm just asking that this bad-feeling is managed and not promoted. It's very easy in an online environment for these sorts of things to get out of hand. Clarkey
So, if I say the words Vortex, turbofit, mkivstore ... all being unauthorised traders on that BBS. Does that deserve the nasty PM and childish thread editing & locking or possible BAN ? I'm sorry - until Martin can grow up ... then I shall continue to treat him with the same the same skeptisim, increduality as I see fit.

Lewis
I think this thread proves he was possibly right in banning people if all they are trying to do is stir up trouble. Excuse me? I am no angel but the last thing I would do is join somewhere to cause hassle. That's a very controversial thing to say and seems to be the most stirring comment made in this thread so far. I think you will find that the reason people are making militant comments is as a RESULT of the attitude of Martin, rather than their comments being made without experience of the situation (like yours is). If you feel this thread or these comments are unjust and not worthy of your input then why take the time to post? I made a genuine post out of surprise and feeling a little put out by the situation, it seems that based on the comments of others, I am not the only one. I think this thread does little to antagonise when the people posting in it have already been banned from the other forum.

Thorin
If you feel this thread or these comments are unjust and not worthy of your input then why take the time to post? Because I don't like to see the forum go downhill. I think this thread does little to antagonise when the people posting in it have already been banned from the other forum. Apart from anyone on the other forum who you're apparently trying to antagonise by posting this in a public forum having a go at them.
stupra
I'm a member of both forum's, but dont post to much on the other, and i've not got a prob with anyone on either. Then again i've not been wronged by anyone (yet ), an everyone is entitled to there own opinion. If people are being banned for nothing, or for nowing certain other people, then thats a bit silly (in my opinion). We all love the same thing, an it would be much nicer if everyone could at least get along with regards to that.
Lewis
Because I don't like to see the forum go downhill. Take a look at your last effort. Apart from anyone on the other forum who you're apparently trying to antagonise by posting this in a public forum having a go at them. And you think that a post like this forces the forum downhill? Perhaps you should take a look at the rest of the threads. If I wanted to antagonise Martin (or anyone else on that forum) I wouldn't do it by making a post here. I don't hide behind a keyboard. It seems to me that there is only one person trying to make this into something it isn't, and that's you. You have taken a moral highground in a place you don't have the footing to maintain. By all means make comment, defend Martin/his forum etc but don't you dare think you are in a position to tell me my reasons for doing something and then to infer that I am doing something I have already denied. Martin knows where I am, I emailed him and asked for an explanation, he chose to not respond. I don't do things in a sly way and hence I posted it here in the public domain. I didn't want people to be saying I was talking about him in Members only and for him not to be able to see with his own eyes and respond (either in here, pm or email). I did this openly and honestly. Like I say, only one person seems to be trying to stir in here.
Ian R
I won't forget the fact that Martin banned Rays the Roof for inviting people on a meet and linking it. All he was trying to do was give members of anither forum the chance to join an avent that .co.uk were not attending. All he was doing was trying to build bridges between the two clubs and Martin seems intent on burning them down.
