19s or 20s straight on?

You lied. I remembered clearly all your threads when you joined asking for information, so I knew there was no way in hell you'd had your Supra for two years. I simply clicked your name and all posts started by you and that was the first I clicked on.

If you'd driven 8 supras then you would KNOW when the second turbo comes on-line etc. unless you'd only driven them up to 3.5k revs, in which case how are you able to judge handling?

You've got 19's great, good for you! All I and others are trying to point out is that 19's are not really ideal and that 17's or 18's will handle better and are not likely to stress suspension components as much.

Lol are you for real? what i am tryin to point out is that 19's may not be ideal with incorrect wheels/suspension combo...true, and with the correct set up and wheels they CAN be pretty good, mate with stock TT's you dont notice number two kicking in a great deal toyota desgined this transition to be smooth, many mebers will agree with this as if you care to fish more in my threads youll find them stating this, the cars i had drive were strock engines, just cosmetic upgrades, any other questions?

Generally 19's with supes dont go with handling we all pretty much know that, but why are you ignoring what i have been saying all this time that the weight of the wheels the suspension have a major part to play in the handling, hence why if you

choose very light weight 19's (magnesium alloy), correct suspension, offsets, they DO handle pretty well! unless what i have been driving for the past year and half is actually not a supra, it handles pretty well on 19's with my set up.

Nice edit after I've posted.

Chris Wilson will have driven more supra's with more different types of wheels and suspension setups than you've had hot dinners (including his own). He will have forgotten more about suspension geometry and setup than most of us will know.

I'm not ignoring that weight of wheels plays a part, in fact if you'll look back I mention that mine are heavy. As for correct suspension, whats that then? Sticking some coilovers on? or HAVING THE WHOLE CAR AND SUSPENSION SETUP GEARED AROUND 19" WHEELS IN THE FIRST PLACE? What offset are your wheels then? And again you've said it yourself so I don't know why you're arguing, "handles pretty well". Great, still not as good as 17's or 18's would.

They'll design the car with that wheel size in mind though. So what was your point?

The point was made in the rest of the post that I made.

Cars are capable of handling well with 19" wheels.

Just because the Supra had 17" wheels it doesn't mean that 19" wheels cannot be used with perfectly good handling.

When the Supra was designed most cars in the early 90's had much smaller wheels than what are used nowadays.

If they had just released the Supra now with larger wheels, would they change that much in the suspension design?
