Guest Flat4_ire
well 2 cars from early 90's stand out to me as before their time. Supra had the curves early also Mk3 Fiesta, the curves on that car were also before its time But now with all the future cars having sharp lines and corners etc... i think the supra is starting to show its age. The best example i could use is the new honda civic, fiesta, C2 etc... what do you guys think? dated my ass, they look shit hot!
chilli
The j specs are looking dated. Especially with a featureless bonnet. I believe "wide ones" look better balanced than thin stock j spec ones with skinny tyres. what the f**k! the uk spec bulge was dated before it even came out lol. Agreed some bonnets are better still and the trd one is nice. Who the feck wants dildos either, get a grip lol
Guest chiefvinso
I believe "wide ones" look better balanced than thin stock j spec ones with skinny tyres. You mean FAT overweight sluggish UK Specs look fat overwight and go like a 2cv
Chiefgroover
M3 looks 10 years older, even the new shape M3 looks a bit dated.
Scoboblio
And not dated anymore......like low spec ,j specs!! It's amazing what a set of facelift rears / front indicators can do for the looks of the car, just those small details that need updating IMO. toyotasuprauk
I have to agree about them looking dated I’m afraid. Mines standard though but isn’t that the point? With a bodykit, new lights, new wheels, new interior and a re spray they don’t look dated but then you could say that about almost any car. Ewen
Fires dying down so Ill stoke the flames a bit..... IMHO some body-kits actually date Supras rather than freshen them up. Standard Supras, without rear wings (maybe a small boot-lip spoiler) but with decent wheels on slightly lowered springs look as good as any current performance car. Like I said IM(humble)O. Kopite
Just lowering a stock supra makes it look a lot better.
Bobbeh
What makes the Supra look dated IMHO: JDM headlights that go yellow. Crappy placed fog lights. Headlight washers look old fashioned compared to new ones. The fact is has a telescoptic aerial. Stock alloys, still look ok when clean, but dont exactly set the heart racing. But thats it to me, the rest of it still looks fresh. Pete, gimmie the pics fella
Jake
However, the Supra still remains a timeless shape. side window outline and quarter panel shape in particular! That explains the old lady asking me about my my 'Capri' the other day then!
Scoboblio
That explains the old lady asking me about my my 'Capri' the other day then! Unlucky! Most non-car enthusiasts I speak to are suprised that it's a 13 year old car, I think it's one of those shapes that although it'll never look "modern" again, it'll never look properly old like cars in recent years that tried to be too drastic with their styling. The interior on the other hand.... oh dear The sea of black plastic and the rubber handbrake give the age away!

Plus I was just having a little laugh about the old jdm v uk spec. Probably needs 768.5 at hubs to push the lardy UK I'm not a horse person so I dont need horses, I am a slug and always will be
