GazzaGSi
Most intense freaky and atmospheric game I have ever played. There hasnt been a time when I have played it without goosebumps and being on edge. Absolute awesome first person shooter! For people who are unsure of the title heres a link: http://pc.ign.com/articles/657/657310p1.html One part even made me fall off my seat, something took me by suprise that much! and there have been other close moments. You never know what awaiting around the corner! 10/10 for me. Gaz
mike_mcevoy
yep definately the best fps i've played for a while, wasnt too fussed on the multiplay but for story and atmosphere i'd give it a A+. nothings made me jump like that in a while. GazzaGSi
Im not all that far in to it and had some very brown cloth moments!! 1 being when you jump down the vent into another room and when you land the screen goes white, when it comes clear you're in a different room with bloody water up to your waste with you in the slow-mo mode (dazed kind of). Run to the end of the room and a bloody skelaton leaps out the water/blood at you and then you reapear where you first were! Strange sh*t! lol On the making part of the dvd it was originally suppose to be released as a film but then they decided to do it as a game. Tis very good, I dont usually like this sort of thing and it scares the crap outta me but something keeps making me come back to play it. The sound adds so much to the atmosphere as well. You have to play it to understand though. Buy buy buy lol.
Alex
Have a search...Ceptik and I were chatting about it a few months ago... I loved it...even though it's soo linear...can't wait for FEAR2. I expect it's not good enough for serious gamers...but for casual gamers like myself I think it's the best first person shooter I've played! GazzaGSi
Likewise. I probably only buy a pc game once every couple of months or so. (usually on the ps2) but this one has gripped me. Sorry regarding the search. I thought it was a new release too.

DamanC
Cirtianly one of the best games out there. The graphics and AI are simply out of this world. It has its flaws but they shouldnt cloud your judgement of the overall game. FEAR and HL2 are deserved of a 10/10 games. Enjoy fellas, one of the games i wish i could wipe my memory of and play it all over again
garetheves
Im playing it at the moment, in between Quake 4 and Black and White 2. Love the game. Those pesky invisible ones are a pain to kill though!!
garetheves
Just finished FEAR tonight. Must say a little dissapointed with the ending though. No real "boss" to fight, and is it just me or does it just seem to end all of a sudden. Not much build up to it. Left me wanting more really. Still an awsome game though, the AI and graphics truely are amazing and other than Doom3 ive never been as scared by a game. Incredibly atmospheric and a number of jumpy moments, not least towards the end where the girl comes scurrying out from under a filing cabinet as you turn a corner. Christ on a bike that was a change of pant moment.

Er, think I'm gonna have to play this in daylight with normal speakers, just been playing with headphones on and BOY did I shat meself ! Having a Joey moment from friends I think, just off to put the game disc in the freezer
Angarak
F.E.A.R is a great game, best played in a dark room with surround sound set pretty high Don't know if any of you have played FarCry by Crytek (UBI Game), another FPS that has some brown cloth moments when played in the dark with sound up. It also has great AI and is the most non-linear FPS game ever with vast open maps you can explore. Next big FPS game will be Crysis by Crytek (EA Game). garetheves
Im steadily working my way through The Godfather. Quality games, very similar to the more recent Grand Theft Auto's, so if anyone liked them then i can recomend this one. Next on the list is to pay for HL2. Got it pre-downloaded but dont want to pay until ive completed Godfather.
