Pig
Score. And to think i was worried. So what is not enough fuel???
Pixelfill
Yup definitely rich. If you look at page 9 of your manual there's a table, the first line is 10 AFR and is the lowest reading the AEM will give you. says Rich in the table, the concern I'd be having is that that is as low as the gauge reads, so who's to say it's not lower, and therefore VERY RICH. I'd get this checked ASAP if I was you. the gauge reads from 10 to 18.50 AFR (Air to Fuel ratio) therefore 10 AFR is more fuel than 18.5 AFR i.e. richer 10 Rich 18.5 Lean Mike
Homer
Thats too much fuel. It'll need to be leaned off a little. What rpm and boost are you seeing this?
Pig
Boost is onle 0.8 bar! What problems may i be causing running so rich? Emanage going on soon, but cant be on straight away\!
Pixelfill
could a dodgy 02 sensor cause the engine to overfuel (I have no idea but might be an option ) Mike
CJ
What EMS and injector size are you surrently using?
Pixelfill
Bigger injectors running at 100% duty cycle would do it. if you've got bigger injectors with no controller that would cause over fuelling (of course I don't know if you do have bigger injectors) Mike edit: doh CJ got there first. Homer
Boost is onle 0.8 bar! What problems may i be causing running so rich? Emanage going on soon, but cant be on straight away\! Knackered plugs, and long term, bore wash.

Pig
help...please, still no answers and i dont want till kill my car!
Homer
Jon, until you get the ecu installed and mapped just make sure you keep it above 10.5 on the afr gauge. If it starts to go off-scale then take your foot off the pedal. That should be enough to help stop carbon fouling. As for bore wash, thats caused by long term overfueling, i.e. new bottom end time
Pig
New bottom end. hmmm, i dont really fancy that lol. will just take it easy then! thanks homer! so as soon as i hit 10 then lift off?
CJ
Personally, I would not be running the car with an OEM ECU and a single turbo set up. I would wait until the emanage is installed and mapped.
letmeshowyou
i agree with CJ. I know you've waited a long time to get it back but rather than thinking 'as soon as I hit 10 lift off' it might be better thinking 'do I even want to get to 10 in the first place?' given that it could be even richer than this! Edit: Not to mention how much you must be spending on petrol atm!
