Captain
is it a silly question to ask.... if you had a knock link, would you be able to phisically watch to see when detonation occurred? and then would not be able to see for yourself which was the better quality of fuel?? and anuva fing......Why did banzai do a test using a cossie lump?? Confused, Paul

Captain
pictures look good.. article looks like a right load of old bollox. doesn't simulate driving conditions in any way. Still confused, Paul
supra dan
how can it be bollox if they were all tested the same way? you cant possibly test for every type of driving you need on the road.
Guest sunnyG83
the only part that gets me confused is why Banzai used a Cosworth engine, unless cosworth are secretly japanese good info though
toyotasuprauk
That’s on a highly tuned 500bhp engine though. Why not do the test on a standard car? Don’t forget tesco’s 99 ron costs the same as Shell’s 95 ron at least in my area.
Alex
I'm guessing not every one has a bench dyno and would be willing to put their bench engine through a test... FFS you guy's don't half want the moon on a stick sometimes!! If the drums were unlabled and the operator didn't know which was which I can't see how it's not a good test? RobSheffield
A few quick questions since i cant see the article Were the fuels tested in the same order as the resuls are reported? i.e unleaded first, then Tesco, then BP then Shell. Can the article be trusted to be impartial? what if Shell paid for it didnt Banzai or Japanese Performance print an advert for (who ruined Rosies car) so they clearly dont care for the truth where money is concerned How long did each fuel run for? Is the Cosworth engine self learning?

Can the article be trusted to be impartial? what if Shell paid for it How long did each fuel run for? Is the Cosworth engine self learning? ...small print! That's it then! I'm now draining my tank from the crappy Tesco99RON and refilling it with Shell's finest. Hope everybody's happy now:D
