Fifty
Get up this morning to hear a strange hissing noise coming from the lounge and the floor strangely wet in the dining room. A radiator valve has blown out pumping hot water straight from the boiler into the floor , all the lower floor is flooded massively. Its so bloody annoying I could cry:eek:

ArghJae
I have a bathroom ceiling come down early last year, only just got it repried, was a pain trying to get in touch with the neighbours upstairs to confirm it was repaired. So I had to put up with my bathroom for around 9 months. Hope all goes well and that there wasn't too much damage caused.
Pete
Ouch. At least there's only a finite amount in a heating system so it can't leak forever.

Charlotte
what a nightmare... just what you need.. sorry to hear this fiddy.. happened to us the day we moved in our place! carpets trashed, the lot... hope you get it sorted soon mate... get that insurance company on the blower!! Yeah its supposed to be an exciting time, moving into a new home. I was cleaning the rented flat all day and got a call from Mike to say, they'd moved everything in and to come over. Took 20mins to get there, in that time the radiator had leaked so instead of a nice warm flat opened the front door to find Mike and the guy that helped us move in up to their calves in water with mops...arrhhhhh one of the worst days ever...hope nothing is too damaged. toyotasuprauk
In times like this all you should be thinking about is lovely new things for your house, courtesy of the insurance or it’ll be just too depressing. Good luck getting it sorted though.
Pete
Wrong it has a make up tank so it ran full bore for at least an hour! ah well 52 Ouch. That's one good thing about combi boilers. They very quickly loose pressure and stop soaking everything after a minute or so.

Fifty
Oh dear of course everyone has these problems but its not really a big deal just a PITA. Its not been my week really although I dont care; after my health scare last month I just laugh it off really. Went to London on the sleeper train on Thursday night; engine failed at Didcot so got chucked off after 2 hours sleep; all day at M&S headquarters then back on the train so that was pretty much 30 hours non stop. Good job I was up early today! Of course I got to eat several bacon sarnies so that made me feel better.
