Tone
Help me people, the supra has always been a favourite car of mine but now I've nearly got some money saved up to buy one, I'm beginning to notice what else I could get Been lookin particularly at BMW M3's, E36 shape, I used to have a 328 sport and loved it.There's plenty around with low miles for 8-9k and wouldn't have to worry finding a manual which is what I want for the soop. Talk me round boys and girls!
Pete
If you fancy one go and get one. Don't come crying to me when you've got no friends and it's broken.
Scoboblio
Supras are rarer, look nicer, go faster and demand more respect. Oh and people won't immediately think you're a t**ser for driving a supra
imi
Had you said the M3 Z Coupe or a M5 (for practical reasons, family, etc), I could have understood the move....other than that...sry dont get it.

imi
OH...you havent got a Supra yet...... have you sat in one let alone test driven one.....if you havent then I suggest you start with that. If its a TT Manual and you arent impressed then I'd be amazingly surprised.

Oh and people won't immediately think you're a t**ser for driving a supra Really....Ive seen quite a few chavs in Sups now...unfortunately due to the plummenting prices they are attracting the wrong sort of crowd. Plus, FATF, Gillette M3 POWER and a few music videos dont help either
raymanuk
Test drive both and see which you prefer.
supRo
Mate, I understand where you're coming from. I always loved the Supra, so I knew one day I had to get one. When I had the money ready I couldn't find the one I wanted (clean manual). I was tempted to go for a Skyline or (ahem) a scooby but I knew I would still want a Supra one day! There's a few guys round your way who often meet up - go to one of those meets and go for a ride to get more familiar with the car. Bottom line - Just do it! There are much more manuals around now too. Ro
Tone
It's a supra that I really want as it's long been one of my dream cars. That's whta I've been saving and working 60 hour weeks for. Was just sayin that I can't help lookin at other cars in the same kind of price range I'm lookin at, especially the BM as I liked the 328 II had. Thanks for all the constructive comments, I've spoken to Clarkey on here about taking me out for a spin in his - I'm sure that'll end the argument straight away

I'm gonna try to get to one of the meets, one week when I'm not working weekends. Would be great to meet some of you peeps

Ones a 30-35K car while the other is a 45K car....so not exactly the same price when brand new....and this is reflected in the performance, technology and design thats gone into the Supra. Plus, one is a more pratical car, while the other is a SUPER CAR (engine can easily be tuned to push silly power / torque) Thanks for all the constructive comments, I've spoken to Clarkey on here about taking me out for a spin in his - I'm sure that'll end the argument straight away Thats a good move...one thing I will say in the defence of the beamer is that it is a great all round package taking, performance, economy, praticality into account....if thats your thing. me personally, rather thatn the E36, i'd look at the E46...but like I said...I've got a soft spot for the M3 Coupe...but the Supra kills that hands down. jonshaw_uk
i had to get rid of my supra and replaced it with a BMW 5 series E39 for practicality its awesome and comfort and ease of driving but its only a 2.5 so could do with a bit more umph, altough i am being swayed by the m3 evolution (e36) can be had for 6.5k 300bhp and only £700 full comp at 25 not bad

TRD3000GT
I have to admit Ive been looking at the following.. I might even swap out before the summer if someone offers me good money. M3 CSl.. I would supercharge this for £5000 Porsche GT3 Nissan Skyline R34 Vspec.
Clarkey
M3 CSl.. Oh dear. You know what BMW drivers are called don't you ? Porsche GT3 Very nice. According to Clarkson, the button labelled TC OFF should be renamed The button of death Nissan Skyline R34 Vspec. Nice - but you'll still be labelled a taxi-driver instead of a BMW knob.
