jim_supra
Hi all, as the title says i'm back from my two months in Oz:cry: can't beleive how much i missed my supe!! couldn't wait to drive it as soon as i got home!! Oz was truly awesome!! I would definately recommend any city in Oz as a holiday destination, I got to see and do so much!. but i'd say the best for me was Melbourne, because to get there from Adelaide i had to drive the Great Ocean Road. Oz has alot of great driving roads but this was by far the best (I drove alot of them, i drove just over 12000kms in 5 weeks!!) and even though I was in a crappy Ford Falcon Estate (it was a 4ltr so kind of clawed some respect back!) the drive along this road was amazing! So much scenery on the first and third sections, which were from twisty, winding roads, through surfer type beachside towns to roads right on the cliff edges. The best section for me however was the 2nd section through the hills/rainforest. this was so fun to drive I wish i could have had my supe to do this section in! amazingly twisty and kinda scary at speed this is one road that will never ever be described as dull! I'd say the most challenging road was the nullaboor highway ( which was over 1000kms long! was so hot (especially in a car with no air con!) the drive took forever, and got pretty boring in sections (as one section of straight road was 150kms long!!) but it was an experience none the less, and one that most australians have never done! anyways just wanted to share that little bit with you all!! am just about to get the supe M.O.T'd now. hope it passes first time!! jim_supra
Sounds like you had a great time. I would love to go but that cant even stand the thought of that flight. How do you feel know your home? cheers, the flight there wasn't too bad as it was quiet and i had plenty of room, but the flight back was a nightmare i was between one bloke who took up loads of room, and a 7 year old girl who couldn't sit still, kept kicking me by accident and leaning over to see what i was watching!! and there was a couple in front with a baby that wouldnt sop crying! its weird being home too, and its f**k**g freezing!!! but a good point is i get to sleep in my own bed again!! i missed that alot!!
