how do they compare performance wise to a tubular manifold, when mine inevitably falls to bits rather than get another to fall to bits i was defo thinking of one of Arnouts

Sorry Just seen this.

I have no real reference to compare to a true tubular manifold, but I can say the quality is superb. I very much doubt it will ever crack.

All I can say is that visually it looks like it will flow a LOT better than the BL adaptor manifold. If you can't afford a tubular or don't want the associated problems then this is a great alternative and well worth the extra over the adaptor manifold option.

I should also add that I dont think there is a off the shelf downpipe available for these. I had mine custom made.

John

just read your write up on the manifold/turbo install, it is excellent its the kind of stuff we need more of on this site and less bitchin (rant over), i can sympathise with the downpipe i spent 3 days getting mine spot on and ended up buying a small mig to tack it in position for a pro to weld it up, its good to see i'me not the only budget performance supra owner :respekt:

:) Thanks

I was and still am very much on a budget. Im lucky in the fact that I can do a lot of the work myself which saves a lot of money. Problem I had with the downpipe is that my garage is in a block away from my house so I have no power there, this makes life difficcullt!

Next project will be a manual gearbox conversion, watch this space. ;)
