roboldham
wow - that's a bit of a shocker! at least we get 2006 to see Renault kick some more ass. I know Mclaren is British n'all but it did get a bit tiresome seeing them and their fancy driver hospitality suites dominating the headlines all the time last year. Marco
Maybe not a good choice to make from Alonso? Now McLaren lost Newey, I'm sure their car won't be as good anymore. But on the other hand, Renault can let Heikki Kovalainen drive in 2007
Alex
So is Kimi going to Ferrari?
Marco
So is Kimi going to Ferrari? He might do, when Schumi is going to red Bull!
imi
wouldnt it be great to have both Kimi and Alonso drive for the same team like the good old days of Senna and Prost.....
Class One
Alonso is being a very shrewd (or his management are!) operator. Michelin are pulling out of F1 in 2007. Renault F1 are tied in with Michelin in that respect. Maybe Alonso senses a wind of change at Renault.

Chris Wilson
My prophecy for 2006 / 2007 is a superb performance by Nico Rosberg, only limited by the car he ends up with.

TLicense
My prophecy for 2006 / 2007 is a superb performance by Nico Rosberg, only limited by the car he ends up with. He's a 1/10th - 3/10th's slower than Mark Webber. Anyway what do you mean limited by the car. Cheeky bugger.
Chris Wilson
Isn't he in the Williams for 2006? I don't know, I am not an F1 fan, I love the technolgy, loathe the politics and lack of real racing. I can honestly say I haven't watched a single GP in 2005. My comments on Rosberg are based solely on his performance in other formulae.

Gordon F
My comments on Rosberg are based solely on his performance in other formulae. He was very ordinary in F3 and won the GP2 series driving for a team who were caught cheating half way through the season, though Lewis Hamilton has made the car look even quicker in winter testing. His surname is certainly an advantage but Webber will blow him away.
TLicense
havent they locked you in a darkened room yet? JB Nah, turns out they can't find anyone to replace me, so I'm still doing what I was doing until 1st week in February, then off to the departure lounge for 3 months. I've been trying to think of things to do. I've got a "learn how to speak Japanese" course to do, but am also thinking about trying to go on a spray painting course.
