Ewen
Anyone suggest the best thing I could do with a damaged-repairable Nokia 9500 communicator ? To make a short story long and bizarre, I bought a 1:18th Supra from Nic, which then joined the legions of other toy supes on my office window cill....Ive also got a rubber chicken in my office with a great squawk that I use to 'chicken' random people walking past the office window (as a total professional just has to do) such as the Ferrari owners club members, important clients and other deserving dignitaries...I also drink lots of tea at work, and thus the scene is set. Poor unsuspecting victim is spotted walking past the office window...chicken is grabbed and in preparation for 'chickener' to squawk the 'chickenee' the window is opened...this knocks three toy supes off the windowcill onto my desk, Nics black one is the fastest off the line and it lands nose down on my 9500, at the same time taking out the cup of tea, which spills over the 9500 to boot. The phones been to the repairer and back under the insurance but due to the fact there were traces of liquid in it, its deemed unrepairable. Ive got my new 9500, but Im left with a year-old 9500 that is to all intents perfect EXCEPT the ear piece volume is very faint - all other functions work as new. Do I pay to get it fixed, or bung it on e-bay as is, or offer it to you lot ?

Ewen
Apart from the rambling, its a legit question...Nokia 9500s are £550 handset only....seems a shame to throw it away when its 99% Its also good at hammering nails in aparently

michael
LOL was that a serious bid? I thought you were just taking the p*ss but it actually sounds like you want to seal the deal at £50 - nicely done
Pete
LOL was that a serious bid? I thought you were just taking the p*ss but it actually sounds like you want to seal the deal at £50 - nicely done Why not? It's sounds knackared as a phone but might be useful for me as a working tool. I can't afford any more this side of xmas anyway. Just gave much money to BhS on their 20% off everything day for presents to uncles/aunts etc. Debenhams next on Wed/Thurs - 20% off everything in store - great time to be buying presents. If Ewen can get more from Ebay then no probs mate. (Does me a favour and saves me spending my dosh ) :dir:
