Paul372 Posted April 14 Share Posted April 14 I had a problem with my auto box where it just kept slipping when putting the power down as the clutch packs had gone so I swapped it over with a uk spec auto box with new filter and oil and also fitted a titan 3200 high stall. Supe drove absolutely fine but I had some lights flashing on the dash. The overdrive and slip con lights are flashing alternately to each over and the main triangle light is very faintly on. Then the overdrive bottom stopped working as in it doesn’t pick up the revs now, the car still drives fine but now it won’t let me put any power down it’s like it’s in some kind of limp mode, seems like an electrical problem, any ideas or do you think the ecu is playing up thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I know an owner that has tried swapping multiple ECU’s, traction ECU’s, speed sensor on the box, and still the problem persists. It must be something we are all missing for some reason. Hamilton Posted May 4 Share Posted May 4 I learned that dry solder joints on the odometer can cause the OD and Slip Cont lights to flash with no error codes. I resoldered mine and the problem went away. Cruise control not working and/or the auto box hunting for gears or changing erratically can also be symptoms caused by dry solder in the same area, but I’m not sure whether they could cause the limp mode you’re experiencing.
