Flappy-Paddles to wires 10 upshift & 17 downshift. Tip: For Supra installation, using the above interface relay system, the redundant Manu button can be linked to wire 2, Auto/Manual switching and the O.D. button linked to wire 20, Shift-Table selection. Which provides OE switch-function & dash-information display-lights for Manual/Auto & Race/Eco shift-options. David P Posted February 26, 2016 Author Share Posted February 26, 2016 Solenoid no. 1. loom-wire is cut and bridged with wires 4 & 13, solenoid no. 2. loom-wire is cut and bridged with wires 5 & 14, lock-solenoid loom-wire is cut and transmission-tail connected to wire 15. Wire no. 8. can be piggy-backed onto transmission speed-sensor (16ish-blips per wheel-rev) or alternatively, if you have, for a better signal link to an ABS sensor? (96-blips per wheel-rev) That only leaves wire 3. to Ignition +, wire 1. to Ground - and three little piggies to back onto ECU loom-wires. Wire no. 9, TPS. Wire no. 11, RPM. Wire no. 12, Brake Signal. Delboy52 Posted February 28, 2016 Share Posted February 28, 2016 SupraStick was designed when Window 98 was about and interfaced using Hyper Terminal software and a serial port. To communicate with SupraStick using modern hardware and software and USB to serial lead will be needed. An alternative to Hyper Terminal is a program called PuTTY. http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html A little configuration of the COM port will be needed (mine happens to be COM5 but it can be any available port). The best settings are: - Baud rate: 19200 - Flow control: None - Default everything else When PuTTY is installed, set a few serial settings to match that of your COM port. Settings for 1J & 2J non VVT-i install using crank-sensor & transmission no. 2 speed-sensor. 1. = 12. (Crank-sensor) 2. = 4. (Transmission no. 2 speed-sensor) 3. = 41 or 38? David P Posted March 5, 2016 Author Share Posted March 5, 2016 jagman, reports that he also prefers puTTy to Hyperterminal. and has provided pics with a few words of his Soarer 1JZA80-GTE Installation. Before Showing the rear of the clock-spring - note 6 tracks - but only 4 used on soarer - these are cut (3) and used to provide up /down/ and earth , new wires fed to here from supra stick , and the old cut wires are used for the cruise control buttons. David P Posted October 6, 2016 Author Share Posted October 6, 2016 Mapping Suprastick has always been a PITA because the software kept dropping out every few minutes. The problem would appear to be that Suprastick doesn't like serial to USB adaptors. I have now bought an old Windows 98 laptop with a serial port and used this to map Delboy52 Mike's Suprasticked Supra with no issues whatsoever, if anyone needs it, just ask.
