Chris Wilson Posted July 21, 2019 Share Posted July 21, 2019 I have yet to find a good chrome plater in the last twenty years, they all seem to cut corners these days, plus good old `elf `n' safety doesn't make their margins any easier to maintain. I'd approach some of the high end vintage restorers and see if they have found anyone really good, and hope they are willing to share the info. All the after market chromed goodies under MKIV bonnets peel, pit and rust within a short while, none seem to have the (necessary) copper pre plate...
