I am thinking of going na t and was wondering if there was another way to do the oil feed instead of drilling the sump also what are the implications for the insurance after going turbocharged.

I wonder why a standalone system hadn't been done, a pump and reservoir/cooler feed and return. I spose it's not as reliable/easy/cheap as effectively tapping into the oil pump so I've answered my own question!?

As Scooter really. It's not that hard. I did the conversion myself and am running just over 500hp. All mods declared and its £500 fully comp (i'm 37 and that's on 4yrs protected no claims)

Yeah sump is the easiest, cheapest and safest way to go. Also it's a return, not a feed

 

I'm £450 a year on mine with all mods declared. It's a bit of a pain to do though as it's a lot of hassle to go through for some companies to turn around and say they won't insure you because of the conversion.

I use Adrian flux on mine. All mods declared. 39 years young £240 fc limited mileage tho

What kits are being used at the moment for conversions there seems to be a few on the market from uk and the usa .

Whifbitz and SRD are the 2 that you can get in the UK. There’s heaps in the US and a few cheaper options on eBay. Best items to try and not scrimp on is oil lines and ECU. The rest seems to work quite well for people no matter the brand

Yeah depends on how much you want to spend really. Seen a couple up for sale on flebay full kits including ecu etc

Engine out or drop the subframe for the return feed for the feed I'm going to use the big bolt that holds the oil housing on.

Can use a sandwich plate for feed and drain like said is best to remove engine and remove sump engine is actually surprisingly easy to remove and don’t be a donut and drill in situe last thing you want is swarf going around your engine
