rider Posted July 8, 2018 Share Posted July 8, 2018 I was told by the local Toyota garage back in the late 90's when these car were still being made that pre 98 belts were 60k or 6 years so I've always had mine done every 6 years. The only belt I ever had snap was on an Audi 26 months after it was replaced (by Audi) and it cost me an incredible amount of money to repair, fortunately the Supra doesn't have the the interference issues. I'll leave you with a quote. On non-interference motors there is no compelling reason to change out the belt on a schedule other than to ensure your vehicle does not leave you stranded at the most inopportune time. ianhid Posted July 8, 2018 Share Posted July 8, 2018 They're non-interference (apart from VVTi N/A), so it doesn't really matter too much.
