Changing top rad pipe help

Day881

Recommended Posts

Just get a bit of pipe (breather pipe), cleaned out plastic 6 pint bottle, take the rad cap off and place the pipe inside the rad (will only go in about 5cm) and into the bottle on the floor and syphon it out mate, just enough to remove the top pipe on a TT anyways

Just taken mine off to get re gold plated

Once coolant partly drained out and new rad pipe on and put coolant back in system how do I get air out of system or won't I get any

You wont get any from just draining enough to remove the top hose, although you could run the engine with the rad cap removed, once it starts to warm up, put the rad cap back on. Check your expansion tank after a few runs to make sure the coolant level is ok, the level will settle.
