Help.... Car won't run above 2k

Evening all,

Wondering if the Supra experts can assist or suggest something!

Bit of background.... Cars a NA-t running an FFIM and was working perfectly.

Been off the road I'd say a month in which time I've fitted the following:

New steering rack

New front brakes

New bonnet (with holes/vents); suspect this is the issue

Anyway... Now the car won't rev above 2k; presume it's in limp mode? Now my initial thoughts were its electronic as it idles fine so could it be because something has got wet? If so what should I be looking at or what are the common parts to fail if they are wet? Granted I've not yet checked all fuses but doubt this to be that.

I have taken a little look at the map/TP sensor and looked wet but I've given it a good soak in WD-40 and didn't fix it. Not sure if this needs drying properly?

Any advice? booked in for a Mot Saturday

Thanks. Stephen

Bit of an update.... Cleaned everything and still no joy. It feels/sounds like it's miss-firing. So if I unplug the TPS she runs, granted rich but she runs fine

So is this a new TPS due to getting wet or have a blown a fuse/loose wire?

Any ideas?
