L337
So chasing a misfire I have developed over the weekend, I've been fiddling around the engine bay and I think I've knocked this vac hose off. Can anyone with a NA (or a very good knowledge of vac hoses) tell me where it supposed to go? As now I have a bad misfire AND a super lumpy idle [ANGRY][/ANGRY] Thanks! ibby
Look above the black bolt. Where the hose comes out from. It's the bolt above that, inlet plug on the right if you look carefully
Tyson
As ibby says above where that vac hose comes out of you can see from the picture you took the bare metal stalk coming from the bolt where the vac hose attaches to directly below the other hose that's currently attached to the same bolt above the black bolt the problem hose is connected to. L337
If I understood your description right, it's not a bare stalk, it goes into the inlet manifold :-( Thanks though!
Josh42
Does that one not go the MAP sensor? The black box with the blue label (far left of the picture)? Sure it goes on the bottom of there

Mike2JZ
Connect it to the MAP sensor. Little black thing with the plug and multicolour wire in your first photo. On the bottom will be a vacuum port. Without it plugged in car will run like crap.
L337
I'll have to try tomorrow, out of curiosity - how crap would it run unplugged?
Mike2JZ
I'll have to try tomorrow, out of curiosity - how crap would it run unplugged? Crap as in the ECU won't have a reference for the air coming into the engine so it will barely stay alive/low idle/misfire/stall etc.
