Harness labelled with all the correct tags... All joints properly soldered and then heatshrink over the top, and finally insulation to tidy them all up.... Out of 44 wires, 4 are unused... I would refuse to even attempt the emanage ultimate directly on the loom with the length of the wiring on a standard non-vvti supra.... the vvti's are better since they seem to have an extra foot of loom... I admit it's a very well put together piece of kit, and I understand that each one is hand made by one guy, who really does know what he's doing, but it's still too expensive for what it is. IMHO. 2. That harness is, unless I'm mistaken, Supra specific. Why can't the wire colours match the supra loom? It would make it a hell of a lot easier when referring it to wiring diagrams. Especially for the price! 3. If the wires have to be white, why can't the wires come ready labelled. Everybod I know who's had a fields harness, has had to label every wire up. For the price you're paying for it, I would want it labelled up. I know all of those things come down to price, and the price reflects the manufacturing technique. I would say it's obviously not a consumer driven market that it's aimed at, but the guy making them seems to be doing alright at selling them, so perhaps I'm wrong. Colour coded would be SO handy, I spent 30 minutes putting labels on all the wires that were relevant, and colour coding would make it so much easier, also would allow you to see which wires are which rather than a sea of white... Gav Oh yeah I totally agree, fantastic bits of kit. Just not worth the money IMHO. I think seeing as the guy who does them takes so long to do them that he has to charge so much, if then had to take the time to colour code them (Well he wouldn't would he, he would color code them!) then I would be looking for a rocket emoticon to describe the price! JohnA Posted September 22, 2005 Share Posted September 22, 2005 I've got one too, but the final product leaves a bit to be desired aesthetically, compared to Gav's. I did use thicker wiring though, and everything is soldered and wrapped quite a bit. Downside is the extra space the whole thing takes up, PLUS the harness ---- they all have to fit under the plastic cover (after trimming it a bit on the inside). I couldn't safely work on the stock loom, there was not enough space left and it was prone to error (that could potentially leave you stranded later on) I guess the loom can be sold later on eBay, so some of the cost could be recouped, same as the SAFCII Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It'll fit both the E-Manage Blue and Ultimate now, and also takes RLTC, the AEM O2 sensor module, an Apexi AVCr, and a TRL speed delimiter I did tag everything at first but now I've got an uber-spreadsheet with every connector, pin number, wire colour, function, and wiring path in it -Ian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
