Guest tomstomp1000
Hi all Does anyone know of a good garage in the Sheffield area who are happy & confident working on Supra's? Mines a non-turbo Japanese import & pretty much every garage I take it too, finds some stupid little way in which they cannot work on it! Any help would be great Thanks tomstomp

blythmrk
Hi Tom As Al stated what work is required? I have a mechanic mate in Sheffield who works on any make of car and is excellent from a simple service to full engine rebuilds nothing phases him (pm me if you would like his number) or there is a company called Lex-Tech (near Rother Valley) my dad has a RX450h and has been highly recommended but not used them as yet, apparently he was the top mechanic at Lexus Sheffield and they still use his knowledge! Also Keron is only in Leicester which is pretty local if you really want a specialist to look after your car. If its modifications/upgrades people seem to use Keron, SRD, Chris Wilson or Wiffbits (sorry if i missed any) all worth travelling for. Thanks Mark
Guest tomstomp1000
Not 100% really. Took it in because the ignition wouldn't start & all of the dash lights would die. Had to disconnect & reconnect the battery to reset it. Anyway, it went to an auto electricians who had to re-wire some of the dash lights & immobiliser circuits, which were apparently wired up wrong (despite being fine for the past 13 years). That cured the dash lights dying but now the immobiliser LED(on stereo) flashes while driving & it still cuts out every now & again. Went back in for a new solenoid on the starter motor, again, with the occasional no start & the same flashing LED on the immobiliser. I took it back for them to sort this & they tested it, couldn't really say why but said I needed a new alarm system. Anyway, driving away from these buggers, the engine malfunction light came on. Took it to my garage & they are simply struggling to find a diagnostics port to hook up to their diagnostics software. Basically, through f***ing me about, I would simply just like to find someone else to do the work now. Rother Valley is only round corner from my work so might give them a shout Thanks Tom
blythmrk
Hi Tom Did you get the electrical problems sorted? Thanks Mark
Guest tomstomp1000
Not 100% yet. Found out the crank pulley was out of place so starting with that. Literally logged on to contact Keron to see if he had one.
