jonny mac Posted November 15, 2016 Share Posted November 15, 2016 hi guys, trying to setup my cams at the moment but I'm struggling to understand the cam gear sheet http://www.briancrower.com/makes/toyota/cam_card/bc_0331.pdf it says -1 ATDC intake open, surely this would be 1 degree before tdc? and the exhaust close -9 btdc? why have negative numbers? all I was hoping to get was a reading saying at such and such degree of crank rotation, the cam must be at full lift however, the sheet is only telling you when the camshaft should open/close, no center line for max lift? Chris Wilson Posted November 18, 2016 Share Posted November 18, 2016 I suspect they are probably made in China, and we have all seen Chinese instructions.... Are they symmetric lobes?
