David P
I'm looking for a set of +1mm exhaust valves and came across these by GSC. Does anyone have any good or bad feedback on this product? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291760625138?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Style
I know that Real Street are held in high regard over in the states so I'd hope the things that they sell are good quality and do their job well
JackyBoi
Real Street tend to use Ferrea valves, and from what I've seen so do most high-horsepower 2JZ builders. Why not just go for Ferrea? They are available in +1mm, also from Real Street

Ah, I was not aware of the price difference. I would imagine if a company such as Real Street are using GSC then they will be more than adequate for 500bhp
Chris Wilson
If they can't, or won't give material spec info and where they are made i wouldn't touch `em. This is the sort of info you need, from a good old UK company who make some of the finest engine valves in the world http://www.gsvalves.co.uk/technical-information.html

"Note: 23-8N material Chrome Polished." But that means nothing to me?
Chris Wilson
http://www.enginebuildermag.com/2009/11/valve-and-guide-material-selection-update/ Bit guilty posting a link to a Yank magazine after just denigrating the US people in a wildly sweeping statement (in which I specialise) in another thread, but sod it.... David P
Thank you for the link, it would appear that they're made from one of the recommended brews. "Exhaust valves are typically made of 21-4N, 23-8N for many performance applications. These materials are austenitic, nitrogen-bearing chrome-nickel alloys possessing excellent high temperature strength, hardness and corrosion resistance to combustion products." I'll give them a go.
