J-Meiser
Good evening! As above, I found the highlighted connection (see image below) sitting unused behind the dash, near my ABS sensor, unplugged. I couldn't see a socket to plug it in to, so I was wondering if someone could tell me what it is meant to be used for? Guest Timehawk
Might be for the active spoiler if I remember right.
J-Meiser
Might be for the active spoiler if I remember right. Admittedly, that's what I thought at first, but upon closer inspection, the pins are in a different location. I have attached an image of the rear of a Active Spoiler Switch and highlighted where the pins are different to the connector. At any point, did the pin layouts change for the Active Spoiler switches?
Wez
Look like top dash panel plugs, the part that has the ODO etc in it
Chris Wilson
Look like top dash panel plugs, the part that has the ODO etc in it That would be my best guess, too.
J-Meiser
Look like top dash panel plugs, the part that has the ODO etc in it The wire itself isn't long enough to reach up there . My odometer is plugged in, so is my hazard button; when I took the dash apart yesterday to rectify the mistake I made when splicing the pink wire into the blue/red one behind the odometer, I couldn't see a spare socket anywhere up there
Chris Wilson
Do the heater controls still work?

Ric
Heater control plugs are orange afaik. Id say they are plugs for the active spoiler, ECU, not the button.
Chris Wilson
Yes, you're right, they are orange, apologies.
T2 MSW
Yep active spoiler ECU that normally goes on top of the ABS controller
J-Meiser
Yep active spoiler ECU that normally goes on top of the ABS controller I did rule out the Active Spoiler ECU, as the socket on the one that I have is a completely different size: I do apologise about this
j_jza80
Definitely not active spoiler, I've just plugged one in - - - Updated - - - Are these redundant plugs for the optional 'active' sound system?
J-Meiser
I know that the 15-pin connector is for the active sound system, but the other one...
