Tommyd16
I Have a tt auto. In drive everything seems fine but in neutral or park the revs seem to be over just over 1k revs. I can't remember if its always done this or not. My girlfriend pointed it out when we were in the car at the weekend and I can't remember ifs normal or not. When stopped in drive its under 1k rpm In neutral or park it's just over 1k rpm
jcbt
Try resetting ecu first - have you done anything to the car recently?
Poshmalc
Probably the idle control valve needs cleaning out mate, mine was doing it too and it's a pain in the ass revving high. Get it cleaned out and you're onto a winner! It'll only get worse if left

JackyBoi
Mines always idled at like 300rpm is this equally as bad to a high idle??

Ian C
Failing that, look for a hose off the manifold, or split. It'll draw in a bit of extra air from that and increase the revs like the throttle is being held slightly open.
Tommyd16
It idles fine in drive though?
Poshmalc
For now, you just don't notice it in drive! It's definitely the ICV or as Ian C says a split cam cover breather hose. I cleaned mine and the difference was amazing
