Pixelfill
Right, I just got my paperwork through from the insurance, and they want me to fill out a form for my mods. basically what they are, what they cost, and WHAT THE BHP INCREASE IS for each mod. anyone have any ideas what I need to put in this bit. I bought the car modded - BPU, I have no idea what the current BHP is (either at the flywheel or rear wheel horses). and have no idea what preformance increase each mod gives. well I do know the UK spec headlights won't give me a positive increase any suggestions. Engine Mods are as follows: Blitz Nur Spec Envy Decat (Front Cat only) TRL VFCC Walbro 255lph fuel pump Denso IK24's Sard R2D2 BOV Power Enterprise Kevlar Timing Belt HKS Intercooler Hard Pipes Envy Upper Radiator Hard pipe Cheers guys Mike

Pixelfill
Thanks Jake, This looks like the kind of info I need Smarty - The mods are already declared so I'm not trying to hide them, it's just they now want me to declare what performance gains they give. As I've already paid my premium I can't see how they could change it now. Well at least I hope not . Cheers for all the posts Guys Mike
Jake
I wouldn't even declare a lot of those things Mike. There's no way they'll ever know you have a Walbro pump or a kevlar cambelt. Surely nobody considers a rad pipe a performance mod, do they?

Pixelfill
I was coming at it from the perspective of the like for like cover, i.e. what I would want back from the insurance if some twocing chav has my car away. If it isn't declared I won't necesarily get the parts back, plus they want supporting receipts, and a lot of the stuff was done all at one go, therefore on the same receipt. The last thing I want is my insurance invalidated while they are still processing it just because I didn't declare everything. And you're right I don't include chromed hard pipes as a performance mod, but as WSB2 puts it, who at the insurance company underwriters would know the difference? Jake
What insurance company you with mate? Elephant don't like BOVs so if you're with them be careful what you say I can understand why they don't like them. It's not that the BOV improves performance (it doesn't) it's because the sort of person that fits pointless devices to make their car go PSSST is not typically a good driver. I do wish you'd caveat your campaign against BOVs with "unless they have junked the stock system and thus had to buy one" -Ian
