350z 6speed transmission in to Supra?

Is there a commercially available exhaust manifold pair for this conversion, or were they one offs? Bonnet mods needed? What gives with the sloping water radiator, will the stock rad and positioning not work? To me that looks a sensible conversion, cheap torque in a fairly modern, fairly fuel efficient motor. Ever seen a s/charged Mercedes V8 conversion done to a MKIV?

Thanks for the photo!

A good used Getrag will be far less than upgrading the internals in W58. The only practical upgrade would be to straight cut gears and a dog engagement (no synchromesh). If there is a suitable kit it would be totally impractical in a road car transmission due to noise and the inability to change gear at less than racing snatch changes.

Isn't the tremec gearbox much larger than the V160 though? Sure I've read that someone on Supraforums tried it, and it wouldn't physically fit in the Supras tunnel.
One of the Aussie Soarer gurus developed a Tremec 6-speed conversion. if it wlil fit in a Soarer it will fit in a Supra.

The gear ratios might be the problem with the Tremecs. They have really high ratios with double overdrive (to meet the CAFE requirements in the US). Good for a big naturally-aspirated or supercharged V8, not so good behind a little turbo 6.
