j_jza80
Get handy with the soldering iron, or at least some crimp connectors. Scotch Locks are a bodge.
Dazzi
Scotch locks... 99% of all electrical problems.

Mk4Gaz
Jay, can you not use the power feed from the stock fan to switch your relay on?
jay200bhp
That little air con fan mate??? Mine was missing when i got the car as its single and just had the viscous unit
Mk4Gaz
Yeah, the circuit should become live when the rad temp sensor reaches a certain level. That could fire your relay into life, and power up the kenlowes when needed. If you just wire the relay to a switched live, the fans will run constantly
Chris Wilson
A relay solenoid feed has far less demands than the switching contacts to the fan(s) themselves, take care. Big electric fans draw many amperes! I would run a fused relay straight from the battery positive, and switch the relay solenoid via an ignition switched feed. Kev.O
From memory my fans were around 14 Amps in start up (double fans).
