CW SMIC upgrade

If you read 4 posts back, he's saying the SMIC is a good option :)

Indeed I read the thread in its entirety before posting but my question stands, what effect does the fmic have on cooling with the stock power steering and radiator being blocked is it significant or not an issue

Does anybody have any intake before and after for an upgraded smic the same for a fmic to see if there is much difference at bpu

I went for the Smic upgrade months ago regardless because I like people thinking mines an N/A until it's too late but it would be nice to see exactly how much difference there is between them

Its a known fact that on stock rads, with a large FMIC in hotter temps the cooling system can be overwhelmed, esp on track where your full throttle lap after lap.

To get round this you can upgrade the rad to something like a Fluidyne or Koyo which solves the issue as they tend to be much larger capacity.

The other issue which you mentioned is power steering, yes it can affect it, again in warmer temps and more so on track which is why a lot of people with track cars fit a decent power steering cooler, although even without a FMIC the power steering cooling can be an issue on track.

Slutters did an excellent thread on this showing the need for proper ducting as soon as you stray away from oem.

Good work mate.

Cheers dude, took a bit longer than an hour :p

It's the thinking man's intercooler :) I have firm interest in one to be built. 3 more deposits and it's all systems go....

Thanks for the feedback Marcus. Glad you found it fitted well and you and your pal were impressed by the (F1, Le Mans Prototype) build quality.

No problem Chris, thanks for the fitting tips as well. Hopefully you get some more orders as more people realise how good these are
