SilentAgro Posted July 29, 2013 Share Posted July 29, 2013 my front brakes have quite a loud metallic noise coming from them. It stops when I press the brake pedal. When I last checked them, the small rubber sleeve/collar that goes on the end of the pins had perished (47788A on the image above). Would that cause this issue? stevie_b Posted July 30, 2013 Share Posted July 30, 2013 Note that the small rubber collar on the end of each slider pin (called something like an anti-squeal bush) is marked in the workshop manual as a non-reusable part, but Toyota don't include them in their brake refurb kit!
