spidermonkey
Hello all, I have a very annoying knocking from the rear drivers (I think) side, the car is a 94 TT6 J spec, fitted with HKS suspension (purple top mounts) and tannabe ARB's, could it be the suspension or a bush is knackered? I have just replaced the top and bottom boot rubbers, had the wheels balanced and a full alignment, the sub frame is nice and tight????? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Camry5Sgte
The bushings securing the hatch lid might need replacing maybe?
Iky
The bushings securing the hatch lid might need replacing maybe? He's replaced them already, How old are are the topmounts? I'd be checking for play in them.

They're pretty old to be fair, does anyone know if I can just replace the bearings or is it a complete top mount? Also driving to work this morning the sound seems to be coming from the rear wheel area.

Dnk
Far too many things it could be so i'd just get it on a ramp and go over every nut and bolt all the suspension bushes inc drop links, arb mounts, sub frame bolts, diff carrier, etc etc Knackered dampers can knock when they fail so worth a look at those too
